Marcia Gronewold’s teaching is informed by years of experience and training in music, theater, dance, and improvisation. A dedicated advocate of contemporary music, she has performed many of the masterworks of twentieth-century vocal literature. Her master’s thesis, a study of the use of Sprechstimme in the works of Alison Bauld, explored the development of post-Romantic vocal style. In addition to her private teaching studio, she has conducted classes and clinics in contemporary vocalism and musicianship.
